Technical data
The EVO ID DESK 2000 table reader is a read/write device that can be operated by any RFID media (smart cards, RFID wristbands, keyfobs). Ideally suited as an access control, member registration, part of a POS systems or for cashless payments, the reader is operated by holding the transponder in the reading field. The reading status is visually indicated to the user by a multi-LED frame.
The desktop reader is a compact and easy-to-use RFID reader that connects to PCs, laptops, and other USB-enabled devices via USB port. Compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems, the table reader is versatile.
Due to its popularity, we have technically optimized our table reader. The reader now has a USB 3.0 interface that allows manual configuration and selection of two modes:
HID (Human Interface Device) mode = keyboard emulation (QWERTY) (read access).
In HID mode, user data can be retrieved from the supported transponders as keyboard emulation (QWERTY). The output can be configured in several ways. The reader can read serial number formats and user memory. The configuration can be done using a compatible Windows configuration tool. The Reader is therefore particularly well suited for use in web-based cloud environments within Information Technology.
VC Mode = Virtual COM Port (Full read and write access)
With the delivery of ID DESK 2000, we provide a user-friendly Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows operating systems as a download, which facilitates in-house developments of applications.
